Ethan Bensinger

In the 1930s, Ethan's family fled Nazi Germany, becoming refugees in Israel, where Ethan was born. In 2007, Ethan created an archive of filmed interviews with 30 victims of Nazi persecution at the Selfhelp Home in Chicago. Four years ago, drawing on a love of story-telling and a deeply-held belief that these narratives he recorded must not die with the last survivors, Ethan formed a created “REFUGE: Stories of the Selfhelp Home.”
