In 2010, Jill Zenoff founded The Gan Project with co-founders Anne LaForti and Suzzan Nathan-Hawley. The quarter-acre Gan Project Homestead at the Bernard Horwich JCC in West Rogers Park has produced over 3000 pounds of organic produce by following Jewish agricultural principals. All of the produce is distributed, free of charge, to the surrounding community. As we actively combat the root causes of food insecurity of our current food system, we are working to build a regenerative food system that enlivens our tradition, embodies our values, and immerses our community in a rich educational and cultural experience.
