Nancy Rodkin Rotering was elected Mayor of the City of Highland Park in April
2011.  Prior to running for the Mayor’s office, Rotering served as
Highland Park City Councilman from 2009-2011. Nancy began her career as a
member of the Treasurer’s staff at General Motors Corporation. She joined
McDermott, Will & Emery as an attorney.  In 2008, Nancy shifted her
focus to government work and served as a Legislative Aide to State
Representative Karen May. Nancy grew up in Highland Park and is a graduate of
Highland Park public schools. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Stanford
University, an MBA at Northwestern University and a law degree at the
University of Chicago.
