Olivia Mahoney

Olivia Mahoney is the senior curator at the Chicago History Museum and responsible for collecting and interpreting the city's history to diverse audiences. Her current exhibition, Shalom Chicago, explores the rich history of the city's Jewish community from 1840s to the present. Previous exhibitions include the Museum's core installation; Chicago: Crossroads of America, Go West! Chicago and American Expansion; and A House Divided: America in the Age of Lincoln with Eric Foner of Columbia University. She obtained a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Northwestern University and a master's degree in museum studies from the State University of New York.
